event publicity

This page is for people putting on events at the WMSC and who need advice on local media in which they might get their event publicised. WMSC doesn't have any responsibility for any of these media and can't guarantee their effectiveness. However, we use them, and you are welcome to use them too.

If you find any errors or have problems, let us know. Similarly, if you know of things to add to the list, let us know.

Malvern Gazette

Use this url to add your event to their "what's on" listing.

Broadsheep

This is a monthly free-sheet which is widely distributed throughout Shropshire and Herefordshire. It is published on-line also. They will usually accept bookings even though we are across the border in Worcestershire.

Contact via info@broadsheep.com
Send: venue; date; name of band; time; price; contact telephone number; one line on type of music.

Deadline: 15th of previous month.
NB: Dec+Jan is a double month.

Facebook

You can find WMSC here on Facebook.

Here is the West Malvern Community Noticeboard on Facebook.

Slap

Slap is a monthly free-sheet serving Worcestershire. It has an on-line listing also. Here's the link for posting your event.

TheMusicSeen

TheMusicSeen is an on-line listing serving Ledbury, Malvern and surrounds.

Contact is via email to admin@themusicseen.co.uk.

fliers

If you produce fliers for your event, we can put them on the tables at the open mic and preceding events. Send them to the club address (145 West Malvern Road, Malvern WR14 4AY).

fliers for insertion in the Parish Mag

The editor of the West Malvern Parish Magazine is helpful and will usually be able to insert your flier in the Parish Mag. The editor is David Matthews (phone 01684 567328). You can contact him via email at matthews.greenbank@virgin.net. You need to be aware of deadline dates and whether David can accommodate you.

posters

If you want a poster for your event and don't know whom to ask about producing it, send us an email (to Gordon Kirk, or use the contact us web page). We may be able to find you a poster designer and printer for a reasonable price.
